Your First Visit
We know that going to the doctor’s office can be a stressful event, with paperwork to fill out, new faces and names to learn, all while you’re in pain or suffering with a health condition. Our goal is to alleviate your apprehension and make you feel at home.
You see, the more you understand us, what we do and why we do it, the better you’re going to feel in our office. This is a good recipe to start feeling better and getting great results!
On your first visit we will answer the following questions:
* What’s causing my problem?
* Can chiropractic care help me?
* How long will it take for me to be well?
* How much will it cost and does my insurance cover chiropractic care?
During your first visit we will determine if you are in the right place for your particular problem. If we find that your condition will not benefit from chiropractic care we will refer you to an appropriate specialist.
Prior to seeing the doctor you will fill out some initial paperwork which will assist the doctor during your consultation and examination.
During the consultation you will have ample time to explain your problem while at the same time answer pertinent questions from Dr. Stranger so that he can better understand your condition.
Following the consultation you will have a physical examination where the doctor may perform some chiropractic, orthopedic and neurological tests concentrating on your particular complaint.
When your examination is completed, Dr. Stranger may recommend diagnostic studies such as x-rays, MRI, and or CT Scan.
Report of Findings
Dr. Stranger will then review your findings and any diagnostic studies and make recommendations for a trial of therapy which may include spinal manipulation as well as some physical modalities such as electro-therapy, interferential current (electrical therapy), hydro-therapy, intersegmental traction, diathermy deep tissue heating, or rehabilitation exercises.
Dr. Stranger may also prescribe a home exercise program as well as offer advice on the proper use of body mechanics, orthopedic supports such as orthotics, braces and or pillows.
We make it a priority to respect your time and that’s why every effort is made for our staff to stay on schedule.
Dr. Stranger has been helping the community since 1985 and he’s ready to start helping you.
